2 going on 16!

Just call me Miss Attitude! I am oh so two!!! There is so much I want to say and do...all by myself!!! I put on my own socks, shoes, panties, pants...all by myself. I want to brush my teeth by myself. I want to eat with my green spoon, no blue spoon, no yellow spoon! "Let Zoey do it" that is my catch phrase these days. I am almost completely potty trained. I only use pull ups during nap and bedtime. That is also when I can have my pacey...mom is weening me! Sometimes when I get really tired, I beg for my pacey....that normally means early nap for me! I have started to watch some regular programming. Dora the Explorer is my favorite! Diego, Backyardigans, WonderPets and Max and Ruby are other shows that I enjoy as well. I love playing and use my imagination like a pro....it is just so fun! Mama knows that I need some good "mom time" when Dora's mom has to go in time out....I play Mr. Potatohead with Papa and we have tea parties too. I am such a daddy's girl now. I call for him every single morning. "Papa. Papa!" Sometimes if mom comes to get me I say "no! just papa!" mom gets a little bit sad...but that is too bad, cause I am TWO!!!

Big Sister!

I am officially a big sis. I've had five months of practice since Mia is already five months old! Most of my world involves this new little sister as I've had to learn to share everything with her, including my parents! That has been the biggest adjustment. That and....learning to go peeps and poops in the potty. That's right folks...officially potty trained. I must say, it's a whole new world when you wear panties and not diapers. Feels pretty good....one of those milestones. Mama (actually I call her mommy now.).....Mommy is quite the happy camper that she only has one in diapers!

I started watching TV when Mia arrived. Mommy swore she wasn't going to let me watch but caved when she needed to feed Mia without me "acting two"....go figure! But, I wore her down and now enjoy Dora the Explorer, Go Diego Go and Wonder Pets. I love to take walks and run! I'm a really fast runner. My shoe size is 8. My hair is almost to the middle of my back with some natural ringlets and it is still light light blond. Mommy says it's platinum! My favorite books are Fancy Nancy, Pinkalicious, Oh Say Can You Say, One Fish Two Fish and The Hungry Caterpillar

I went to the Atlantic Ocean and still love to play in the pool. I'm learning to swim like the fishies!

These days, I'm a daddy's girl. I like to refer to him as "papa". we play when he gets home from work until I go to bed. I say my prayers and we sing 4 songs, Twinkle twinkle, Rock a Bye, TooRaLooRa, PapaBuyYou

22 months old

Wow! It has been a while since I shared my world! There is so much to say! Well, first of all....I am going to be a big sister! A new baby is coming and she is due on my birthday! What a present for me!

I have a huge vocabulary! I know my colors. I can count all the way to 10! Although sometimes I skip 3&4...what can I say, I love 5 and can't wait to get there! I am repeating everything I hear and very clearly. Which, incidently has lead to a new rule in my house....Papa has to watch the Buckeyes far away from me! Go Bucks!

I love to dance. I listen to music everyday. My favorite stories are "Fancy Nancy" and Eric Carl books. I love to color and play with stickers. I make lots and lots of art for my family! My favorite bedtime songs are "too ra lou ra" & "twinkle, twinkle" and I can even ask for them by name! Oh that reminds me! I am sleeping in my big girl bed in my new big girl room. It is very cool.

I love to play with my cousins and talk on the phone to everybody. I guess I just have a lot to say!

15 Months Old..now this is fun!

What don't I do? I run and climb. I'm a little too brave sometimes. My favorite trick is making funny faces. I have a "surprise face", "pouty face"& "fishy face". My parents are always telling me to show off my faces for new people. And my family all want to see again and again. I know how to "clean up" and definitely how to make a mess. Ive already been swimming a few times this year and I still love the water. I also love playing in the sand. Mama and Papa are going to get me a sandbox as soon as the fence is built which should be anytime! Oh and my big news is that I am a VEGAN baby! No food from animals for me! It's a good thing that I eat anything and everything! My favorites are blueberries, strawberries and bananas...although any fruit gets an A+ from me! I also like salsa and tomatoes. Mama planted tomato plants and a blueberry bush just for me!

Everything is great in my world!

11 months old...Soooo Big!

Well, I've been walking for a couple of weeks now and I finally got my first tooth. It's just to the left on the bottom. Still not sure where the others are but they hurt something fierce! I chew on everything and sometimes I have a hard time sleeping...ouch! I am talking up a storm! I say "papa", "mama", "uh-oh", dog (which actually sounds like "dah"), "baby", ball or "bah", "baba", "yeah, ma", diaper or "die er", and thank you or "ank ooh". I am a chatter box to say the least!!! I sign a couple of words too! "More", "Ball" and "Yeah". I love to play peek-a-boo and I love to listen to music, sing and dance! I just me be on Broadway someday! Look out New York!

I am eating anything and everything. I really like pasta. The messier the better! I am growing like a weed, weighing in at about 21 lbs.

I say "hi" and "bye" and give great big kisses with my mouth wide open. My kisses aren't just wet and sloppy but their loud too! I say "ahhh" just like mama and papa when they plant big wet ones on me!

I am still using my pacie but I am actually not too interested in the baba unless it's morning or bedtime. Mostly I use my trusty old sippy cup. Mama only lets me drink water, though.

I love to play with my toys that sing, blocks, baby dolls and my cars and hammer. My favorite food is applesauce and spahgetti and I hate stuff on my feet. Bare toes are the way to go! I can't wait for summer!!!!

10 months old!

I took three steps! YAH me! I'm getting braver but still prefer the fastest mode of transporting myself...crawling is still the way to go! I had my very first Christmas. Pretty fun holiday....lots of fun boxes and wrapping paper to play with....my parents got a video camera so now I'm suppose to" look here, Zoey! Smile big! Talk to mommy!" Mostly I wait until she gives up THEN I do all those things. Then mommy gets the camera out again and then I stop.....it's a very fun game for me.

I'm eating big girl food. No more jar food, hooray! Still no teeth, not even a sign of a single pearly white...I hope they are in there some where!

I started to do this wave thing. I hold my arm straight up and cross my fingers, then I smile real big. It's how I say "hi" to people. It cracks everyone up....

My birthday is coming up! I can't believe that I am going to be one year old already. Mama is already planning my party. She is going to have a garden party for me and ask that instead of presents, people bring something special for my garden which mama and I are going to plant in the Spring. "Zoey's Garden"....I like the sound of that! I'll probably just eat the dirt.

Big Girl !

I'm 9 months and a couple of days old! There is so much to tell you that I don't even know where to start..... Well, let's just work our way up from the bottom or shall I say, the toes!

I'm not yet walking on my own. I can walk around tables and push my toys. I can even hold on from one thing and turn to something else to hold on to. I might even stand alone with no help from anyone or anything but I still get a little nervous about taking those first steps. Now crawling, I have definitely mastered that feat. I zoom from here to there, pull myself up on to whatever I feel like, explore that a bit then move on to something else that strikes my fancy. I am very busy!!!!

Oh that reminds me! Momma finished the learning center! It's kinda like a big play room that is super safe for me to play and explore. Nothing is off limits for me in the learning center! It's so great and me and my momma or pappa just play and play and play! Sometimes, I pull everything off my shelves, all of my books and toys just to watch them fall to the floor. Then mommy will put them back on the shelf so that I can play that fun game over and over again! I have a feeling that all of my fun toys will soon be doubled! My grandparents just might spoil me a little bit at Christmas! My very first Christmas, Hooray!!

Let's see what else is going on.....Oh yes! Still no teeth but I eat food just like the grown -ups do! Well, sort of....Mommy purees food for me but I am allowed to gum some food in small pieces. I love all kinds of food. I even like spicy stuff and garlic, hmm, hmm! I also started drinking water from a sippy cup. My sippy has little frogs on it and I can hold it and drink from it all on my own! I'm such a big girl. Daddy says I better slow down...that I'm growing too fast. I'm 26 inches tall now and 18.7 lbs. Holy Moly!

I make lots of sounds; mamama, dadada, gagaga, babababa, ooooowwww, ehhhh, iiiii, ahahaha, abah, uh, ah just to name a few! I love to talk and sing and dance! Whenever music comes on I just bop up and down. It's so much fun and it seems to make the big people crack up every time!

I'm really having a blast at nine months old. I'm on a great sleeping schedule, 2 naps a day, sleeping through the night (as long as my old trusty friend pacie stays nice and snug in my mouth). I get to hang out with lots of family. Mommy is home with me most of the time but I get to go to my babysitter's house 2x a week and play with all sorts of cool toys and of course my friends Sally and Daniel love to entertain me. On Wednesdays I go visit my Great Grandma "Nanny". She lets me tear up her kitchen with pots and pans and Tupperware toys! It's so much fun. I go to church with my family on Sunday and visit with my cousins, aunts and uncles and Grandma and Grammy too! I like it when my grandma and grandpa "two hairs" come over and visit. They like to watch me play! I went to New Orleans to visit my cousin Lily and Aunt Sara. I loved the French Quarter, lots and lots to see there. And jazz....I like it! I got a great book there, called Jazz Cats! "Jazz Cats, Singin' Jazz Cats" I love how mommy reads it to me, half reading, half singing.

Right now my favorite toy is a little yellow and green hammer and my music piano bus that goes like this, " all the little buddies jammin' with the band...." I am still chewing on everything....I guess you all better watch out when those teeth of mine come in....I know there in there some place!

My hair is light blond and getting longer! My eyes are still big and sparkly blue and yes, My laugh and smile can still light up the world!!!
